Maureen Mutua

Co-Founder ADESA and Managing Director – ADESA Kenya

Maureen Mutua is a Co-Founder of ADESA Africa which was established in 2019 and the Founder and Managing Director of ADESA Kenya, where she leads the organization’s mission to equip young people with future-ready digital skills and expand access to opportunity across communities. She is at the forefront of advancing youth empowerment through practical, high-impact training programs that respond to the evolving demands of the digital economy. Under her leadership, ADESA Kenya delivers skills-based initiatives that support employability, innovation, and long-term economic participation. Maureen is deeply committed to inclusive access, ensuring that young people, especially girls and those from underserved communities are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and support needed to succeed. Her work extends beyond training into mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement, helping to build a more equitable and empowered generation across Kenya.

Joy Muthee

ADESA Kenya Director

Joy Muthee serves as the Director for Youth Digital Skills Training. She is at the forefront of advancing Girls in STEM Leadership, championing inclusive digital education while also driving broader empowerment initiatives for girls. Beyond digital training, Joy also supports mentorship, leadership development, and STEM exposure initiatives, helping girls build confidence, access opportunities and step into innovation and leadership roles.

Steve Mambo

ADESA Kenya Director

Steve Mambo is an experienced cybersecurity specialist and technology leader with over a decade of expertise in information security, risk management, and digital resilience across East Africa. As a Director at ADESA Kenya, he plays a key role in advancing digital literacy among youth, leveraging his background in cybersecurity, IT, and artificial intelligence to equip young people with practical, future-ready skills.
He has held senior roles in both corporate and consulting environments, including managing IT security for multinational operations and co-founding cybersecurity firms such as Villbo Group and Yelbridges Ltd, where he also serves as Chief Operating Officer.
Steve is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) with an MBA in Strategic Management and a background in Information Systems. He is also an active thought leader, contributing insights on cyber resilience, governance, and digital risk, while supporting initiatives that strengthen digital capacity and inclusion.
