While global associations exist, none have been specifically designed to address the African context \u2014 from the richness and diversity of African data sets, to the specific infrastructure challenges, to the need for Africa-relevant use cases in education and certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Founding Principles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>African-led and African-focused<\/strong> \u2014 built by African data professionals for African data professionals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pan-continental reach<\/strong> \u2014 spanning all five regions and 54 countries of the African Union.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inclusive and accessible<\/strong> \u2014 membership options for students, early-career practitioners, seasoned professionals, and institutions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Internationally connected<\/strong> \u2014 maintaining strong links with global data science and engineering associations including IDESA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We invite every data scientist, data engineer, machine learning practitioner, cyber-security specialist, and data analytics professional across Africa to join us on this exciting journey.
